Happy first birthday, Eleanor!

Happy first birthday to our wonderful Eleanor! She made us a family of four one year ago today and was a perfect birthday present for her big sister who turned four the day after Ellie's birth! Here's a photo review of Ellie's first year:

 She loves to stand with support from furniture and we expect her to start walking within the next couple of months. The next photo shows Ellie in her new birthday dress, I'm continuing the ugly birthday dress tradition that I started with Sophia.

Sophie and friends celebrated her 4th birthday with an art party at Collage Collage. They created rocket-powered unicorns using mixed media.

The Birthday Dress

For Sophie's 1st birthday, I decided to start the tradition of the Birthday Dress. I bought a Size 18 Fuschia dress from the Salvation Army and decided to take a photo of Sophie in this dress each year on her birthday.

It went over really well on her 1st birthday (March 28, 2008):


On her second birthday, she seemed more excited about the idea (March 28, 2009):




And today, on her 3rd birthday (March 28, 2010), she first thought she looked like a princess with her long train:

Happy 2nd Birthday, Sophie!

Sophie turned two today and we had a great party at Nonno and Nonna's house in Victoria! 23 family members joined Sophie for the festivities. I'll post more photos later, but for now I'll leave you with just two. Sophie receiving her stegosaurus cake (topped with two great beeswax candles!) and Sophie inhaling her stegosaurus cake. A good time was had by all!
